The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) announced plans to host an annual Ratan Naval Tata Memorial Lecture Series in February of the following year. The lectures aim to delve into topics of social development, public policy, and nation-building, echoing shared principles of public purpose and institutional integrity.
In a tribute to the enduring contributions of the Tata family, TISS is installing a bust of Sir Dorabji Tata at its Mumbai campus. This is part of broader initiatives to honor the Tata family's foundational role in TISS's establishment and evolution.
Ongoing discussions with Tata Trust are focused on extending faculty tenure. TISS is developing a sustainability plan and proposes future institutional support involving a Rs 7 crore grant to fund faculty and staff salaries through March 2026.
