The 18th edition of the IIJS Bharat - Signature 2026, a pivotal business-to-business trade fair, has set a benchmark by generating business valued at Rs 75,000 crore. Hosted by the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), the four-day event concluded on January 12.

The exhibition drew over 25,000 trade buyers from across 800 Indian cities and included 1,400 international buyers from 40 countries. The fair also hosted 12 high-level international delegations, emphasizing India's escalating influence in the global jewellery industry.

In a statement, GJEPC chairman Kirit Bhansali highlighted the industry's resilience and future goals, projecting to hit USD 100 billion in exports by 2047, encouraging a shift towards 18-karat gold preferences. The launch of 'JewelStart' aims to foster innovation and support budding entrepreneurs.
