Prince Harry is to appear in the witness box at the High Court in London as part of a privacy lawsuit against Associated Newspapers, the publisher of the Daily Mail. This marks his second court appearance in three years challenging alleged media intrusion into his life.

Harry, alongside six other claimants, including singer Elton John, accuses the publisher of privacy violations dating back to the early 1990s. The claims involve tactics like hacking voicemail messages and deceiving to obtain private information, known as 'blagging'. The publisher, however, dismisses these accusations as 'preposterous smears.'

This lawsuit is a continuation of Harry's legal battles against media outlets, reflecting his long-standing grievances with the press, particularly concerning the tragic death of his mother, Princess Diana. Other notable claimants joining Harry in this legal battle are David Furnish, Liz Hurley, and anti-racism campaigner Doreen Lawrence.
