President Droupadi Murmu extended greetings to the people of Gujarat and Maharashtra on their statehood day, highlighting their contributions to India's development. She praised Gujarat for its global impact through hard work and Maharashtra for its inspirational legacy of social reformers and dedication to the nation's growth.

On the occasion of statehood day, President Droupadi Murmu lauded Gujarat and Maharashtra for their pivotal roles in India's development. She highlighted the progressive spirit and achievements of both states amidst celebrations on May 1, marking their formation in 1960.

Murmu acknowledged the industrious and innovative residents of Gujarat for elevating India's global reputation through their contributions. Emphasizing the state's rich heritage, she noted influential figures like Swami Dayanand Saraswati, Mahatma Gandhi, and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as sources of inspiration.

In her message to Maharashtra, the President celebrated the state's legacy of social reform, courage, and cultural richness, with figures like Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar leading the way. She expressed hopes for continued progress and prosperity for both states.
