Prakash Bal Joshi Takes the Helm at Artists' Centre Mumbai
Prakash Bal Joshi has been unanimously elected as chairman of Mumbai's prominent Artists' Centre. Under his leadership, the new committee aims to enhance the institution's role by launching exhibitions and projects for emerging artists, continuing its legacy established by eminent artists like K H Ara and S H Raza.

Renowned artist Prakash Bal Joshi has been elected unopposed as the chairman of the Artists' Centre in Mumbai. The decision followed an executive committee meeting after the organization's general elections.
Senior sculptor Vikrant Majrekar has been appointed as the general secretary, while Prof Dr John Douglas will serve as treasurer. The newly formed Executive Committee includes Dr Minakshi Patil, Vijayraj Bodhankar, Sanjay Sawant, Prof Prakash Bhise, Sadashiv Kulkarni, and Ajit Deswandikar.
With a legacy that includes founding members like K H Ara and associations with artists such as F N Souza and V S Gaitonde, the Artists' Centre plans to organize exhibitions, art camps, and lectures to promote young talent nationwide.
