The Dalai Lama, revered spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhists, is scheduled to receive medical treatment on his left knee in New Delhi this month.

His office announced that the 90-year-old would travel from Dharamshala to India's capital, amid mounting health concerns among his followers.

Despite his advancing age and recent health issues, the Dalai Lama expressed his desire to live beyond 130 years. His ongoing health management includes using a golf cart for longer distances around his residence. China's continued efforts to control his succession remain a major point of contention.
