On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that he prays to Mother Bhagwati Siddhidatri, who removes all the troubles and grants Siddhi, to bless the devotees and fill their lives with happiness, peace and prosperity. During this, the CM was seen washing the feet of nine 'Kanyas', representing the nine forms of Goddess Durga who are worshipped. He also offered gifts and 'prasad'.

The Lok Sabha elections for all five Lok Sabha seats in Uttarakhand are scheduled to take place in a single phase on April 19.
