Drilling Set to Start on Kuwait's Durra Gas Field
Kuwait is set to commence drilling and construction on the Durra gas field later this year. Kuwait Petroleum Company's CEO announced that the company aims to reach a production capacity of 3.2 million barrels per day by the end of this year and 4 million by 2035. KPC plans to invest $22.92 billion in upstream operations over the next five years.
Kuwait is preparing to begin drilling and construction work on the Durra gas field later this year, according to Kuwait Petroleum Company's (KPC) CEO. Engineering studies are expected to be completed this summer.
Speaking to Reuters, Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Sabah revealed that KPC aims to boost production capacity to 3.2 million barrels per day (bpd) by the year's end and further increase it to 4 million bpd by 2035.
Additionally, KPC plans to invest 7 billion Kuwaiti dinars ($22.92 billion) in upstream operations over the next five years.
