The official notice pointed out that the ships, including Zaliv Amurskiy and SCF Pechora, are believed to have the flags of Panama, Gabon, and the Cook Islands.

Last month, Britain initiated its first sanctions addressing vessels in Russian President Vladimir Putin's 'shadow fleet', suspected of circumventing Western sanctions on Russian oil trade. Additionally, Ingosstrakh, a service provider for Russian oil exporters, was added to the UK's list of designated entities by OFSI. The firm has indicated potential legal challenges to the sanctions.
