Congress leader PC Sharma has requested authorization to conduct a 'Sunderkand Path' at the TT Nagar police station in Bhopal on July 20, for a Congress worker's birthday. Sharma highlighted that similar permission was previously granted to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members.

In a letter dated July 18 addressed to the TT Nagar police station in-charge, Sharma detailed the request, citing the recent allowance for a Sunderkand Path at Ashoka Garden police station for a BJP worker's birthday. He emphasized the need for equal treatment, stating that Congress should be permitted the same privilege.

Sharma informed ANI that prominent Congress figures, including former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh, state Congress chief Jitu Patwari, and Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar, plan to meet with the Bhopal Police Commissioner. Their objective is to advocate for birthday celebrations for Congress workers at various police stations, reinforcing the call for parity in permissions granted for such events.
