Nation Pays Tribute on 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas

On the 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives in the 1999 Kargil War, lauding their bravery and sacrifice.

On the 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma honored the soldiers who perished during the 1999 Kargil War. Speaking to ANI, Sharma remarked, "On this occasion, I salute all the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country under extreme weather conditions, including many from Rajasthan."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid homage, laying a wreath at the Kargil War Memorial in Drass, Ladakh. Joined by Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan and other ranks from the armed forces, they remembered the soldiers' supreme sacrifice.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasized that Kargil Vijay Diwas symbolizes the unwavering resolve and valor of the brave soldiers. Shah expressed, "In the war, soldiers displayed ultimate valor in the Himalayas, making the country proud by hoisting the tricolor again in Kargil." Shah added, "The nation will never forget your dedication and sacrifice." Families of fallen soldiers also commemorated the bravery and dedication of their loved ones.

Kargil Vijay Diwas, observed annually on July 26, commemorates the success of Operation Vijay in 1999.
