Former Chief Minister and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and the TDP coalition government on Friday, accusing them of spreading false propaganda through white papers. Speaking to the media, the YSRCP chief criticized the TDP government for failing to present a full budget for 12 months, opting instead for a Vote on Account. He alleged that Naidu lacks the courage to allocate funds for his election promises and is avoiding a regular budget due to insincerity in implementing these schemes.

Reddy's remarks come a day after Chief Minister Naidu accused him of ruining the state's economy. Addressing state debts, Reddy claimed that TDP spread false information stating that the state debt was Rs 14 lakh crore before the elections. According to him, the actual government debt stands at Rs 5,18,708 crore as of June this year. He provided detailed figures on the state's increasing debt, attributing higher increases to the previous TDP administration.

Reddy stated that the YSRCP government has transferred Rs 2.70 lakh crore to beneficiaries through DBT schemes over the past five years. Despite receiving significant funds from the central government, Naidu opted for a Vote on Account to evade fulfilling his promises. The Andhra Pradesh government's white paper claims the state suffered a loss of Rs 6.94 lakh crore due to reduced growth rates and highlighted additional fiscal mismanagement under the previous regime. The paper also pointed out losses due to unauthorized sand mining, increased power costs, and delayed infrastructure projects.
