Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday called on the public to participate in and witness the Mahakal Sawari in Ujjain. Emphasizing the added charm of the police band performance, Yadav said, 'I announced the formation of a police band in every district of Madhya Pradesh. This year, Independence Day on August 15 will be celebrated in all 55 districts of the state with their own police band. The police personnel will return to their respective districts after completing their band training.'

Today marks the final day of training for the Police Band, which will culminate in their participation in the Mahakal Sawari. Approximately 350 police personnel skilled in various instruments have gathered in Ujjain. They trained without instruments yesterday and will complete their final training with instruments today. History will be made in Ujjain as a significant number of police personnel participate in the Mahakal Sawari with their instruments, CM Yadav said. 'We have sent around 20 master trainers to Hyderabad, where they received training from various police companies. After the final training, the police personnel will depart for their respective districts. Today's performance of the police band will add charm to the Mahakal Sawari. I appeal to the public to participate in this ceremony, and those who cannot attend should witness it through video,' he added.

The tradition of the Baba Mahakal's procession every Monday during the month of Sawan continues. It is believed that Baba Mahakal tours the city to understand the condition of the public. Devotees line up along the roadside for hours to catch a glimpse of the procession, considering themselves blessed by Baba Mahakal. (ANI)
