The Nashik city police have received a significant boost with the sanctioning of 110 new vehicles, including 62 four-wheelers and 48 two-wheelers, at a cost of around Rs 7.25 crore. The vehicles were handed over by the Nashik district administration, with Collector and Guardian Minister Dadaji Bhuse playing a pivotal role in this development.

Over the past few years, funds have been allocated for police vehicles and modernization through the District Planning and Development Councils (DPDC) across Maharashtra, particularly benefiting Nashik. Divisional Commissioner Praveen Gedam expressed his gratitude, stating, 'I am thankful to the district administration and the Guardian Minister. This development has addressed mobility issues and modernization needs. Within a year, people will see good results.'

Looking ahead, planning for the 2026-2027 Kumbhmela in Nashik is already underway. The administration and police department are discussing financial budgeting for the event. 'We are discussing, and soon we will make a concrete plan to organize and execute the 2026-2027 Kumbhmela,' Gedam added. (ANI)
