BJP Heroes Rally in Himachal Pradesh After Devastating Cloudburst

BJP leaders and workers in Himachal Pradesh have launched extensive relief efforts following a cloudburst in Rampur Bushahr. Under the leadership of state president Rajiv Bindal, MLA Purna Chand Thakur, and other notable leaders, the party has coordinated rescue missions and community support.

In the wake of a devastating cloudburst in Himachal Pradesh's Rampur Bushahr area, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and workers have sprung into action since early Thursday. BJP state president Rajiv Bindal expressed sorrow over the disaster's impact and lauded the immediate response of party members who are actively engaged in relief and rescue operations.

BJP MLA Purna Chand Thakur quickly arrived on foot with his team to participate in the ongoing relief efforts. Thakur maintained communication with local authorities regarding the four workers trapped in the Malana power project, coordinating rescue efforts between state and central governments.

MLA from Anni, Lokendra Kumar, was among the first to reach Bagipul's disaster site, where eight houses were destroyed and seven people remain missing. Kumar's team also visited another village where five houses were washed away and reached Samej village, where 36 individuals are still unaccounted for.

BJP leader Kaul Negi was the initial responder at Samej village, which saw significant loss of life and property. Former Minister Govind Thakur, along with Banjar MLA Surendra Shourie and their team, traversed the region, including Manali, Kullu, Bhuntar, Manikaran, and Malana, to assess damages and aid in relief efforts.

Bindal announced plans to arrive in Samej village by afternoon with a large team to assist and devise on-the-spot relief plans for other affected areas in the Anni constituency. State General Secretary Bihari Lal Sharma, MLA and State Spokesperson Balveer Verma, as well as several other key leaders, will accompany Bindal. He emphasized the importance of community solidarity during such crises.

Bindal highlighted, “Workers from Mandi will collaborate in Padhar, while those from Kullu district will assist in the Manikaran Valley,” underscoring a coordinated effort to extend aid throughout the affected regions.
