BJP leader Virendra Sachdeva has criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for protesting against Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena following the tragic deaths of a mother and her son in Mayur Vihar. Sachdeva denounced the AAP for politicizing the incident and asserted that any negligence should be met with accountability.
Addressing the Rajendra Nagar case, where three students perished, Sachdeva mentioned that the High Court has ordered a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry. Meanwhile, the AAP staged a protest outside the LG Secretariat, demanding Saxena's resignation and blaming the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for the fatal mishap.
The protest intensified as AAP leaders pinned the responsibility on LG and the DDA, while the LG Secretariat countered that the implicated drain is managed by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). Environment Minister Gopal Rai criticized BJP workers for their silence, advocating for action against DDA staff responsible for the incident.
