PM Modi Commends Record Gas Production, Stresses Energy Self-Reliance

The Prime Minister's remarks were in response to Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri's announcement that the country has set a new record in gas production. According to Puri, gas production in the country increased from 28.7 BCM in 2020-21 to 36.43 BCM in 2023-24.
The Union Minister has projected that gas production will further rise to 45.3 BCM by 2026. Modi congratulated the populace, noting that this milestone is a direct testament to the nation's commitment to energy self-reliance.
