Political Turmoil Follows Ayodhya Gangrape Case

A 12-year-old gangrape survivor from Ayodhya was shifted to Lucknow's Queen Mary Hospital for better treatment. The main accused, Moid Khan, affiliated with the Samajwadi Party, was arrested. BJP leaders, including Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, have demanded higher compensation for the victim and criticized the accused's political connections.

A 12-year-old gangrape survivor from Ayodhya was transferred to Lucknow's Queen Mary Hospital for better treatment. This move was necessitated as Ayodhya's women's hospital lacked the required facilities, according to Sanjay Jain, the district's Chief Medical Officer.

BJP leaders, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, have alleged that the prime accused, Moid Khan, is a member of the Samajwadi Party and part of Faizabad MP Awadhesh Prasad's team. Khan and his employee, Raju Khan, were arrested in connection with the gangrape. The girl was found to be pregnant during a medical checkup, revealing the crime that took place two months prior.

The Ayodhya district administration recently demolished Khan's 'illegal' bakery. A three-member BJP delegation met with the girl's family, urging the government to increase the compensation from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 25 lakh. The girl remains in critical condition, receiving the best possible treatment, as per Rajya Sabha MP Sangeeta Balwant Bind.
