Mass Gathering of Bangladeshi Nationals Dispersed at Indo-Bangladesh Border

A significant number of Bangladeshi nationals assembled at multiple locations along the International Border in North Bengal on Wednesday evening, a senior BSF officer reported. Approximately 500 individuals gathered across three to four locations, the officer stated.
Initially, around 50 people were seen, but the crowd swelled to 300-500 in various spots. 'The crowd is attempting to sneak into Indian territory,' the officer mentioned. The situation was brought under control with the collaboration of Border Guard Bangladesh, Civil Administration, and BSF personnel, dispersing the crowd successfully.
BSF North Bengal Frontier troops remain on high alert and are executing extensive operations to ensure effective border management. This vigilance aims to prevent any illegal entry or smuggling activities along the Indo-Bangladesh Border amidst the ongoing crisis in Bangladesh. (ANI)
