Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu unveiled a song titled 'Nashe Se Tum Door Raho' to raise awareness about narcotic drugs, produced by Shimla-based social activist Taruna Mishra. The Chief Minister commended Mishra's efforts and highlighted the state government's initiatives to educate the public on the dangers of drug abuse, according to an official release.

Sukhu urged the youth to steer clear of drugs to contribute to a constructive and healthy society. He emphasized that social activists and NGOs can bolster the state's efforts to enlighten the public. He called on all sections of society to unite in the fight against this pervasive issue.

Taruna Mishra assured her continued efforts in raising awareness about the fatal impacts of drug abuse. In June, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Shimla police organized a bike rally in Shimla to amplify the anti-drug message. Roughly 50 bikers participated to promote drug-free living.

Local biker Lakshay Verma noted the rising drug abuse in Himachal Pradesh, particularly mentioning heroin (chitta). He praised awareness rallies and sporting events as vital tools to educate the youth. Another participant, Mukul, stressed the importance of parental involvement and peer support in counseling drug addicts and spreading the anti-drug message.
