Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Tuesday paid homage to the sacrifices of countless freedom fighters and soldiers at the Albert Ekka War Memorial. BJP state president and other political leaders were present at the event.

In his address, CM Saha said, "Their bravery and patriotism will forever be etched in our hearts." He also took to social media, stating, "Tribute to the unsung heroes! Today, I honored the selfless sacrifices of countless freedom fighters & fearless soldiers who protected India's sovereignty at the Albert Ekka War Memorial. Their bravery & patriotism will forever be etched in our hearts."

CM Saha also hoisted the national flag at his residence under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. In another social media post, he wrote, "On the 78th Independence Day, the tricolor national flag will be hoisted at every house as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga program called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji. Today I hoisted the national flag at my official residence with my fellow countrymen. I invite you and your family to participate in this holy festival of patriotism."

Additionally, he participated in the Har Ghar Tiranga rally, took selfies with students, and noted their beaming smiles as his greatest reward. The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, encouraging people to display the national flag to mark 75 years of independence. The initiative aims to foster patriotism and raise awareness about the national flag.

On August 9, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also urged citizens to make the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign a mass movement by hoisting the national flag at their homes. Changing his profile picture to the Tricolour, PM Modi further encouraged everyone to do the same.
