Jammu and Kashmir BJP president Ravinder Raina has expressed the party's enthusiastic support for the Election Commission’s announcement of dates for the upcoming assembly elections. Raina hopes for a high voter turnout similar to the Lok Sabha elections held earlier this year.
Ravinder Raina, speaking on the announcement regarding the assembly elections, stated, 'BJP welcomes the decision of the Election Commission. We had been awaiting this announcement for a long time. Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership over the last ten years, peace, tranquillity, and brotherhood have flourished in Jammu and Kashmir, and the region has seen significant development.'
Referring to the recent high voter turnout in the Lok Sabha elections, Raina added, 'There was record voting in the Lok Sabha elections, and we are confident of a similarly enthusiastic response in the assembly elections. The commendable work by Prime Minister Modi in Jammu and Kashmir will ensure BJP’s victory.' As per the Election Commission’s announcement, voting in Jammu and Kashmir will occur on September 18, September 25, and October 1, coinciding with Haryana. Counting will take place on October 4, stated Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar. (ANI)
