An unidentified object entered Polish airspace and likely landed on its territory during Russia's recent assault on Ukraine, the state news agency PAP reported, citing the army's operational command.
Searches for the object, which was not a missile, were underway. General Maciej Klisz, Operational Commander of the Armed Forces, stated that the object had been confirmed by radiolocation from at least three radar stations. He was prepared to shoot it down if necessary.
Russia launched over 100 missiles and approximately 100 attack drones at Ukraine on Monday morning, killing at least five people and striking energy facilities across the nation. Poland, a NATO ally, shares a long border with Ukraine and has been a staunch supporter of Kyiv's fight against invading Russian forces.
