Sources revealed that the initial plan, agreed upon yesterday, will commence the operation within 48 hours. However, the procedure is anticipated to be complex, as Houthis have rigged the vessel with explosives.

The 900-foot Sounion, carrying approximately 1 million barrels of oil, has been ablaze since August 23. Despite the extensive damage, the Iran-aligned militants have agreed to allow salvage crews to tow the ship to safety.
