Uttarakhand CM Extends Ganesh Chaturthi Greetings

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami wishes residents a joyous Ganesh Chaturthi, highlighting the festival's significance in overcoming obstacles. The ten-day celebration, starting September 7, honors the deity known for new beginnings, with fervent festivities nationwide.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended heartfelt greetings to the residents on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi. He praised Lord Ganesha as the first worshiper and remover of obstacles, wishing for happiness, prosperity, and good health for all during this holy festival.

The ten-day festival of Ganesh Chaturthi, which begins on the fourth day of the Hindu lunisolar calendar month 'Bhadrapada,' will commence on September 7 this year. Known as 'Vinayak Chaturthi' or 'Vinayak Chavithi,' the celebration ends on 'Anantha Chaturdashi' and pays homage to Ganesha, the 'God of New Beginnings' and 'Remover of Obstacles,' as well as the deity of wisdom and intelligence.

On Thursday, Mumbai unveiled the first look of its famous Lalbaugcha Raja. Across the country, the festival is celebrated with much fervor, with lakhs of devotees visiting mandals to seek Lord Ganesha's blessings. Festivities include welcoming Lord Ganesh idols into homes, observing fasts, preparing delicacies, and visiting pandals. (ANI)
