Indo-German Platform to Boost Global Green Investments at Renewable Energy Expo
Pralhad Joshi, the Minister of New & Renewable Energy, announced the launch of an Indo-German investment platform at the upcoming Global Renewable Energy Investor's Meet and Expo 2024. This platform aims to attract global investments for green projects. Countries like Germany, Denmark, and Australia will participate, showcasing India's target of 500 GW renewable energy capacity by 2030.

New & Renewable Energy Minister Pralhad Joshi announced on Wednesday that an Indo-German platform will be launched to attract investment in global green projects at the Global Renewable Energy Investor's Meet and Expo 2024 next week.
Although Joshi did not provide specific details about the platform, he highlighted its potential significance given India's ambitious renewable energy target of 500 GW by 2030. To date, India has added over 200 GW of renewable capacity and requires an additional Rs 30 lakh crore investment to reach its 2030 target.
Germany, Denmark, Australia, and Norway are partnering countries for the event, which will feature delegations led by their ministers and include policymakers, industries, and financial institutions. The Prime Minister of India will inaugurate the event on September 16, with the Vice President presiding over the valedictory session. Key states like Gujarat, set to achieve a 100 GW renewable capacity by 2030, will also participate.
