Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday unveiled 'Khaki Mein Sthitapragya,' a memoir penned by former Director General of Police, Uttarakhand, Anil Raturi. The launch event took place at the IRDT auditorium in Dehradun. The book encapsulates Raturi's experiences and challenges during his tenure as an IPS officer.

Chief Minister Dhami praised Raturi, stating that the memoir presents a vivid account of his service period in an engaging manner. Dhami highlighted the notion of 'Sthitapragya,' or balanced wisdom, as defined in the book. He emphasized that Raturi's work will serve as a guide for future officers in decision-making amidst adversity.

During the event, Dhami remarked on the importance of calmness and strong will in policing, a profession marked by significant challenges. He credited Anil Raturi and his wife for their commendable service and integrity, which have earned them a distinguished reputation. The memoir underscores the role of moral strength and patience in overcoming obstacles.

Raturi detailed his journey of over three decades, discussing how modern technology has transformed policing. He emphasized responsible use of police powers for societal welfare. The book also illustrates ways new officers can navigate challenges with dedication and strong will.

Doz University Vice Chancellor Prof. Surekha Dangwal commended Raturi for breaking stereotypes, showing that one can maintain steady wisdom while donning a uniform. She noted the influence of T.S. Eliot in Raturi's writing. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi and various esteemed guests, including senior police officers and literary figures, attended the event.
