Iran Disputes Israeli Threats Over Nuclear Sites at U.N.
Iran has lodged a formal complaint with the U.N. nuclear watchdog against Israeli threats to target its nuclear sites. This comes after Israel vowed retaliation for Iran's missile strikes. Tehran reaffirms its stance against weapons of mass destruction, while diplomatic efforts continue in the region.
Iran has formally complained to the U.N. nuclear watchdog about Israel's threats to attack its nuclear sites, a move highlighted by the foreign ministry spokesman during a weekly news conference.
These tensions have escalated following Israel's promise of retaliation against Iran for missile attacks on October 1, suggesting possible strikes on Iranian nuclear centres. The Iranian spokesman condemned these threats, noting they violate U.N. resolutions.
Meanwhile, Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized that any decision would be made in Israel's interest, despite consultations with Washington. In tandem, Iran maintains its stance against weapons of mass destruction and plans diplomatic visits to Bahrain and Kuwait to ease regional tensions.
