On Sunday, Bihar Police dispersed a crowd of students with lathi charges and water cannons at Patna's Gandhi Maidan. An FIR was filed against several individuals, citing unauthorized gatherings and instigations, including Jan Suraaj Chief Prashant Kishore. In response, the Patna Administration defended the police action, citing disruption of public order.
Opposition leaders such as Tejashwi Yadav from RJD and Union Minister Chirag Paswan criticized the police's heavy-handed measures. While Paswan called for restraint and a peaceful resolution, Tejashwi demanded transparency regarding exam irregularities.
