Karnataka Politics: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah Discusses E-Khata and Power-Sharing Dynamics

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday detailed the E-Khata campaign, underscoring the government's strides in providing benefits under the new law while addressing tax compliance issues. 'A committee led by Eshwar Khandre formulated recommendations which led to legislation. We've expanded revenue and site houses, yet taxes remain unpaid. Hence, a B-Khata campaign will commence,' Siddaramaiah announced.

Turning to internal party issues, Siddaramaiah remained reserved on the Congress power-sharing discourse in Karnataka. 'I won't comment on the ongoing discussions about CM power-sharing, KPCC revisions, or the exchanges between K. N. Rajanna and DK Shivakumar. The power-sharing formula falls within the high command's jurisdiction, and we'll adhere to their decision,' he stated.

Meanwhile, Karnataka's Minister of Commerce and Industries, MB Patil, addressed speculation surrounding the state’s Chief Minister position, noting the Congress high command's vigilance. 'Our high command, including Mallikarjun Kharge and the Gandhis, oversees all matters. Everything else is irrelevant,' Patil conveyed, attributing delays in council appointments to health concerns.
