Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai extended Holi greetings to the residents of the state, advocating for celebrations marked by peace and brotherhood. Addressing the people, Sai emphasized the festival's spirit of unity and new beginnings, encouraging a peaceful observance.

Amid recent naxal surrenders, Chief Minister Sai announced enhancements to the state's rehabilitation policy. The government imbued the policy with improvements following Home Minister Vijay Sharma's visits to assess best practices in Assam and other states. This comes after 29 naxals from the Kutul area Committee surrendered in January 2025.

As Holi festivities unfold across India, major cities witness vibrant celebrations. In locations like Mathura and Vrindavan, traditional rituals and Holika Dahan mark the commemoration. Despite the jubilant atmosphere, authorities across states, such as those in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer and along the Indo-Pak border, have deployed security measures to ensure harmonious festivities.
