Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav has emphasized that while global climate anxiety persists, India reserves its right to grow responsibly, ensuring food, water, and energy for its massive population. He stressed that rapid economic growth is crucial for developing nations to combat climate change amid ongoing international environmental discussions.
Speaking at the National Conference on Environment, organized by the National Green Tribunal, Yadav outlined India's environmental achievements. He noted the country has met its green energy Paris Agreement commitments nine years ahead of the 2030 target, showcasing its dedication to sustainable development.
Highlighting India's role in global climate action, Yadav mentioned initiatives like the National Green Hydrogen Mission and the Nuclear Energy Mission, emphasizing the balance between growth and climate imperatives.
