India's Decisive Stand: Operation Sindoor Unveiled

In response to a brutal terror attack in Pahalgam, Indian Armed Forces launched Operation Sindoor, targeting terrorist camps in Pakistan and PoK. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday expressed unwavering support for India's anti-terrorism efforts following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam. During a press conference, Banerjee declared the state's solidarity with the national cause, emphasizing a united front to combat threats. "The Home Minister convened a meeting with several Chief Ministers from border regions. Discussions with pivotal officials from central and state departments were also held. We are determined to stand with those combating terrorism in the wake of the attack. At this critical juncture, dissent is a luxury we cannot afford. Our collective commitment to the nation must remain unwavering," Banerjee stated.

She also implored news channels to prioritize national interest over TRP ratings. "In our meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah, we deliberated on enforcing stringent guidelines to curtail misinformation on platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and digital media. Protecting the nation must precede the pursuit of ratings," she advised.

In an exercise to enhance security readiness, major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru conducted mock drills, as directed by the Ministry of Home Affairs. This initiative aims to bolster local response capabilities against evolving security threats.

Meanwhile, in a bold retaliatory act, Indian Armed Forces launched 'Operation Sindoor' targeting terrorist infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The military operation was a counter-action to the April 22 Pahalgam attack that claimed 26 civilian lives. In the wake of these strikes, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh briefed the media on the operation's details in the capital.

Addressing the media, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh highlighted the precision and planning behind 'Operation Sindoor'. Singh noted that nine terrorist sites were targeted with precision to avoid civilian casualties. Videos presented by Colonel Sofiya Qureshi depicted the annihilation of camps, including locations connected to the 2008 Mumbai attacks' masterminds. Foreign Secretary Misri conveyed that the Pahalgam attack sought to destabilize Kashmir's fragile peace. "The savagery aimed to traumatize, to impede the restoration of normalcy," Misri explained.
