In a firm stance against recent provocations by Pakistan, Union Minister and West Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar has condemned the attacks, labelling them as unnecessary provocations. Majumdar emphasized India's commitment to defense, recalling past responses that avoided harm to civilians and military posts.

Speaking to ANI, Majumdar stated, "Pakistan's actions are provocative. India retaliated to the Pahalgam incident by targeting militant hideouts, without harming civilians or Army posts." He added that Pakistan's attempts to attack military installations in India were thwarted by India's air defense systems. "The confrontation continues, and India will respond to every attack," affirmed Majumdar.

Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, during a briefing at the Ministry of External Affairs, reported that India's Integrated Counter-UAS Grid and Air Defense systems effectively neutralized the threats. Indian Armed Forces targeted air defense radars in Pakistan as a direct response, maintaining proportional intensity. As part of 'Operation Sindoor', precision strikes on terrorist camps followed the brutal attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which left 26 dead.
