The long-standing tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated significantly following recent ceasefire violations by the Pakistan Army. On Thursday night, the Pakistan Army opened fire across the Line of Control (LoC) in several sectors of Jammu and Kashmir, including Uri, Kupwara, Tangdhar, and Karnah, according to defense sources.
Pakistan's aggressive actions included firing eight missiles aimed at Satwari, Samba, RS Pura, and Arnia. However, all were successfully intercepted by Indian air defense units. The visuals over Jammu evoked comparisons to Hamas-style attacks on Israel, with some defense officials likening Pakistan's behavior to that of a terrorist organization.
In response to these provocations, India executed Operation Sindoor, targeting terrorist infrastructure within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The Indian Armed Forces reportedly struck air defense radars and systems at various locations in Pakistan, including the neutralization of a system in Lahore, signaling a robust response to the escalating conflict.
