The hour-long meeting concentrated on escalating surveillance and security along the international boundary, with participants including senior officials from the Border Security Force (BSF), Assam Rifles, and various intelligence agencies.
Sources suggest plans to implement enhanced monitoring systems and joint operations in sensitive areas. Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a concurrent meeting in the national capital reviewing border security and airport arrangements, demonstrating a nationwide approach to security amid increased tensions.
The Home Ministry's assembly included key figures such as Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Director Intelligence Bureau Tapan Deka, and DGs of BSF, CISF, and BCAS.
