Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya praised the Indian armed forces for their effective interception of drones launched by Pakistan. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's hardline stance against terrorism for boosting the military's morale.
Maurya, speaking to ANI, highlighted that the armed forces have effectively destroyed terrorist hideouts, avenging the Pahalgam terror attacks, with successful interceptions of Pakistani drones. "Bharat Mata ki Jai," he proclaimed, commending the military for their actions on May 8 and May 9 along the western border and Line of Control.
At a press briefing, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi disclosed that between 300 to 400 Turkish-made drones were deployed, with many shot down by Indian forces. This extensive operation seems aimed at testing air defenses and gathering intelligence, amidst escalating Indo-Pak tension, following India's Operation Sindoor's targeting of Pakistani terror infrastructures.
