Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a 'Janta Darshan' in Lucknow, where he pledged to ensure school enrollment for a young girl named Vashi. Adityanath interacted with Vashi, inquiring about her educational preferences, and assured her that steps would be taken to facilitate her admission into her desired school.
In an ongoing effort to address public grievances, CM Yogi frequently organizes 'Janta Darshan' events, solidifying his connection with the populace. Vashi, who traveled from Moradabad, expressed her satisfaction with the interaction, sharing that the Chief Minister even offered her a biscuit and chocolate.
Later, at a significant event, CM Yogi inaugurated the Gorakhpur Link Expressway, a 91.35 km roadway valued at Rs 7,283 crore. The expressway enhances connectivity in eastern Uttar Pradesh, linking districts like Azamgarh to Gorakhpur. Adityanath lauded the development as instrumental in establishing Uttar Pradesh's reputation as an emerging 'expressway state' amidst India's rapid infrastructure growth.
He contrasted the current developments with the previous government's stalled projects, noting that under his administration, six expressway projects have been completed, including the Bundelkhand and Purvanchal expressways. The Purvanchal Expressway is set to expand to Patna, which will improve travel ease between key cities like Lucknow and Delhi.
Adityanath invoked historical narratives, reminiscing about the 1857 war for independence led by Veer Kunwar Singh, suggesting that if such infrastructure existed then, India's path to independence might have been different. The Chief Minister emphasized the transformative impact of these expressways on regional connectivity and development.
