The European Union's top diplomat expressed grave concerns over Iran's potential move to close the Strait of Hormuz, labeling it as "dangerous" and "not good for anybody."
Speaking to reporters, Kaja Kallas highlighted the potential for severe retaliation and escalation of conflict should Iran decide to proceed with the closure of this critical maritime passage.
Iran's Press TV reported that the Supreme National Security Council must make a final decision, as the parliament has shown support for closing the strait. This move could significantly impact global energy supply, with about 20% of the world's oil and gas passing through the strait.
