Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee has launched a vehement critique of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in Bihar, labeling it as 'Silent Invisible Rigging.' According to Banerjee, the initiative by the Election Commission is allegedly being carried out in favor of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), raising concerns over impartiality.
Banerjee asserted that under the guise of SIR, valid voters are being disenfranchised while residential certificates are being issued in the name of non-existent entities. He expressed confidence in the judicial system to address these grievances, likening the current situation to previous electoral issues faced in West Bengal, and expressed faith in the people's response in Bihar.
Furthermore, Banerjee pointed fingers at the central government for security failures, citing the Pahalgam terror attack. He criticized Prime Minister Modi, suggesting external influences on India's sovereignty, and accused the administration of failing to protect borders while being controlled remotely by foreign powers, particularly the United States.
