PM Modi Inaugurates PM Mitra Park, Lauds Maheshwari Sarees and Ahilyabai Holkar's Legacy

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday inaugurated the PM Mitra Park in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar district, highlighting its potential to revolutionize the local textile industry. He praised the state's famed Maheshwari sarees, tying their origin to Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, who first commissioned the nine-yard drape inspired by Maheshwar forts.
Modi emphasized the park's role as a comprehensive hub for spinning, designing, processing, and exports. He assured that essential materials like cotton and silk would be readily available, enhancing quality control and market access, leading to boosted global recognition.
In addition to the park inauguration, Modi announced Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana benefits worth over Rs 450 crore for 15 lakh women, continuing Holkar's legacy of supporting socio-economic initiatives for women and artisans. Celebrations for Modi's 75th birthday also commenced with nationwide events by the BJP.
