On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to Bharat Ratna APJ Abdul Kalam on the anniversary of his birth, acknowledging Kalam's role in inspiring India to dream ambitiously. Modi reflected on Kalam's visionary leadership, emphasizing his lasting influence on young minds across the nation.

Modi reaffirmed his commitment to building a strong, self-reliant, and compassionate India, as envisioned by Kalam. 'Remembering Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Ji on his birth anniversary,' PM Modi stated, highlighting Kalam's legacy of humility and hard work as key elements for success. Modi urged the country to continue striving toward the India Kalam dreamed of.

Known as the 'Missile Man of India,' Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam (1931-2015) was a remarkable scientist and served as India's 11th President. Born in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, Kalam overcame humble beginnings through sheer dedication. His role as Project Director for India's first Satellite Launch Vehicle in 1980 marked India's entry into the elite Space Club. Kalam also played a pivotal role in the evolution of ISRO's launch vehicle programme and the development of key missile technologies, fostering innovation across multiple institutions.

Beyond his scientific endeavors, Kalam was passionate about inspiring India's youth. He authored influential works like 'Wings of Fire' and 'Ignited Minds,' encouraging big dreams and a stronger national ethos. The legacy of APJ Abdul Kalam, who passed away on 27 July 2015, continues to inspire determination and growth in India. (ANI)
