The discussions aim to secure not only a sanctions exemption but also to fortify broader economic ties with the United States.

Previously, Orban expressed intentions to deliberate on U.S. sanctions affecting Russian oil giants Rosneft and Lukoil, along with striving for a comprehensive economic agreement with the U.S.
