In a historic event symbolizing the completion of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat ceremonially hoisted a saffron flag atop the temple's 191-foot-high spire on Tuesday. The event was marked by the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath among other dignitaries.
The 'Dharma Dhwaj,' which soared aloft, bears three powerful symbols — Om, the Sun, and the Kovidara tree — each embodying deep spiritual meanings rooted in the Sanatan tradition. Crafted into a right-angled triangle, the flag stands 10 feet tall and stretches 20 feet wide.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi performed religious rituals at Ram Lalla Garbha Grah, accompanied by RSS Chief Bhagwat, Chief Minister Adityanath, and Governor Anandiben Patel. The ceremony concluded with a roadshow through Ayodhya, with hundreds of fervent supporters brandishing the tricolour.
