Government sets timeline for sending manned mission to space

It is proposed to demonstrate human spaceflight before the 75th anniversary of Indian Independence (the Year 2022).

The Government has set a timeline for sending a manned mission to space. It is proposed to demonstrate human spaceflight before the 75th anniversary of Indian Independence (the Year 2022).

The amount expected to be spent on this mission is within Rs. 10,000 crores.

This information was provided by the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Development of North-Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh in a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha today.
