Anuj Tyagi, Chief Executive and Managing Director of HDFC Ergo General Insurance, has announced his resignation after over 18 months in the role.
Tyagi, who began with the company in 2008 and took over as MD and CEO in July 2024, resigned to explore entrepreneurial opportunities. His departure will occur in mid-April, with the company's board initiating a succession plan to maintain continuity.
During his tenure, Tyagi advanced the company's technical capabilities, expanded its distribution network, and drove digital transformation. HDFC Ergo's board thanked Tyagi for his leadership and dedication.
