The Karnataka government, led by Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, has made a fervent appeal to the Centre to rectify the ongoing LPG supply shortage that has adversely affected households and farmers during the escalating Middle East tensions involving the US, Israel, and Iran.
Speaking to the press, Shivakumar revealed that the scarcity of LPG is particularly troubling in rural parts of the state. He urged that the issue be immediately addressed by federal authorities, warning that villagers might resort to firewood if the situation isn't resolved swiftly.
Criticizing the Union government's inaction on rising LPG prices amidst international oil market fluctuations, Shivakumar implored state BJP MPs to prioritize this critical concern in Parliament, underscoring the essential nature of cooking fuel supplies for everyday life.
