On Monday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders of Madhya Pradesh convened at Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's residence for a legislative party meeting. The session held ahead of the Special Legislative Assembly focused on 'Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam' with discussions surrounding women's empowerment initiatives.

The state assembly secretariat released a notification detailing the session's schedule, planned from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm, and again from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm, subject to the Speaker’s directives. The session highlights women's empowerment policies, emphasizing inclusive development. Chief Minister Yadav will propose a Government Resolution promoting women's empowerment, which includes 33% reservation for women in the Legislative Assembly.

This push for women's advancement follows the Delhi Legislative Assembly's one-day special session set for April 28 and Odisha's session scheduled for April 30, both emphasizing women's roles in Indian democracy. The backdrop to these sessions is the contentious vote in the Lok Sabha against the Constitution Amendment Bill on April 17, where NDA criticized opposition parties for obstructing women's legislative reservation.
