West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over what she describes as manipulated exit poll projections. Accusing the BJP of disseminating paid propaganda, Banerjee insists that these figures were orchestrated by the BJP to mislead the public.

In a self-made video message shared on her social media account, Banerjee affirmed confidence in her party's electoral performance, predicting that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) will secure over 226 seats in 2026. She praised the high voter turnout of 92.67% in the recent polling phases and accused the BJP of allegedly spreading false narratives about their victory in West Bengal.

Banerjee also decried the role of central agencies, alleging misuse by the BJP to intimidate voters and influence the election outcome. She implored party workers and voters to remain united and vigilant, calling for comprehensive oversight to guard against potential tampering with EVMs. Concluding her address, Banerjee reiterated her commitment to the people of Bengal, vowing to protect their rights against external intrusions. The West Bengal election results are slated for release on May 4, alongside other state poll outcomes.
