Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis emphasized the Bharatiya Janata Party's expanding influence in eastern India, underscoring the party's third consecutive triumph in Assam. His comments came as he arrived in Guwahati to witness Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's swearing-in ceremony, marking Sarma's second term.
Fadnavis attributed the BJP's repeated victories in Assam to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visionary leadership and Himanta Biswa Sarma's dedication to development. 'The BJP's remarkable electoral success in Assam is a testament to their collaborative efforts,' he remarked, expressing confidence in Assam's further progress under Sarma's leadership.
Highlighting the BJP's expansion in the eastern region, Fadnavis commented on the party's growing acceptance, also noting its advances in West Bengal. Earlier, he paid tribute at Guwahati's Kamakhya Temple before attending the swearing-in ceremony, set to occur on May 12 at Veterinary College Field.
